Welcome to ASH Wales

Tobacco is a highly addictive drug and its use kills 5650 people every year in Wales. Tobacco use is without a doubt the major Welsh public-health concern.

ASH Wales was established in 1976 and is the leading voluntary organisation in Wales tackling tobacco use. Our main aim is to achieve a reduction in and eventual elimination of the health problems associated with tobacco use.

Conference Announcement

ASH Wales is delighted to announce our annual conference: Innovative Approaches to Tobacco Control International Conference.

The conference will be held this year at St David's Hall Cardiff on the 10th and 11th October 2012.

Kick Butts Day is back for 2012, with an opportunity to take action against tobacco! Stand Out. Speak Up. Seize Control Against Big Tobacco.

Quitex
A tool providing interactive support for people wanting to quit smoking. Your quit plan can be shown to your GP or practice nurse.

Stop Smoking Wales
For further advice on quitting smoking click here. It is estimated that two in three smokers would like to stop so you are not alone.

Cut Films
Cut Films is a competition run by the Deborah Hutton Campaign that challenges young people to make two-minute films to persuade their friends not to smoke.
